Most of the time, Lawyers work in law offices.
How can I become a lawyer?
You have to earn a bachelor's degree. You then have to take the LSAT (Law School Admission Test). Then, you have to apply for Law School. You have to earn your law degree. Finally, you have to earn a license to practice law.
How much money do lawyers make?
According to the Government of Canada, the average salary is $53,85/hour. The lowest one being $27,48/hour and the highest one being $85,16/hour.
What kinds of additional training do lawyers need?
A Lawyer could need additional training if he wants to be a notary. He would then need to get a bachelor's degree in civil law from a recognize law school. He would then need to get a master's degree in notarial law, which includes a 16-weeks internship, from a recognize law school. Finally, he would need to do a 15-days training program at the Chambre des notaires du Québec.
What are the dangers of being a lawyer?
Being a Lawyer isn't really a dangerous job. However, it is a very high-stressed environment that they work in, so it can affect their mental health badly. They also have to deal with difficult clients sometime. If they do criminal law, the client can be a dangerous person so there could be in danger. There is also the stigma that could be at risk. The reputation of a Lawyeer is what makes his career so if something goes bad, he could gain a bad reputation and lose his job.
What are the chances that lawyers will be replaced by robots soon?
It is very unlikely that AI will ever be able to replace that humans touch that only a real-life lawyer can provide.
What age do lawyers retire at?
The average age of retirement for a man is 67 years old. The average age of retirement for a female is 62 years old.
Conclusion
I'm currently in college but I would like to go to university to become a Lawyer.
